Tone Talks with Mike Watson – January 21, 2017

I greatly look forward to introducing all students to a new found (or deepend) sense and awareness of tone itself, wether it be critically listening to acoustic instruments for recording, dialing a tone from ANY amplifier in ANY room, figuring out which microphones to choose for the best tone possible, and how to adapt quickly and effectively live so that you always get the best possible sound from the monitors.

We’ll also be covering the alternating bass with thumb, that is the cornerstone to multiple folk styles, country, blues/delta/country-blues, which can be practiced anywhere on the neck, with almost any chord, which gives almost immediate freedom to play without the need of accompaniment.
