Jon Burden is a guitar player and singer/songwriter based out of the West Kootenay region ofBC and has performed all over western Canada as well as Texas and California. He plays a style of music he likes to call – North Americana – which encompasses all blues and roots music which first came to prominence on the North American continent: Chicago and Texas blues, acoustic folk, outlaw country etc…
Jon has appeared at festivals with artist’s such as Colin James, Jeff Healey, The Trews, The Sheepdogs, Commander Cody, Los Lobos, Walter Trout and has opened up for the legendary Leon Russell and Canadian Maple blues award winner’s like Sue Foley, JW-Jones and Monkeyjunk. He has toured with Texas blues men – Sonny Rhodes, Country Pete Mcgill and Alabama Mike and Canada’s Goddess of the blues, Rita Chiarelli.
Jon Burden has released 3 albums with award winning singer, songwriter and bassist Holly Hyatt – the last one reached # 1 on the Roots Music Reports charts and was one of RMR’s top blues albums of 2016. Jon released a solo album -“Tales From The Alluvial”- in 2021 which garnered rave reviews such as:
