There will be a solo piano dinner set at 6:30 by Suzanne
Suzanne de Bussac celebrates the release of WHATCHA GONNA DO, the third single from her forthcoming EP WATER, to be released in Fall 2023. Water is the first of 4 forthcoming EPs (Vinegar, Wine & Blood) that will build into a full length album titled LIQUIDS.
The song explores the concept of multiple personalities and internal battles of choice between what’s easy, what’s right, and what’s exciting…a heady, trippy search for integrity and resolve. Video shot by Scott Arnold at the Asylum for Art, and story, editing, and animations by Ronley Teper (Lipliners) and Saul Lederman. Music recorded between Calgary and Toronto at Asylum for Art and the Hepbourne Lab. Produced by Dean Drouillard and featuring Don Kerr (drums), Kurt Swinghammer (guitar), Kevin LaCroix (bass), Michelle Baker (bg vox), and Suzanne on piano and lead vocal.
Video Release party is on Saturday July 8 at The Asylum for Art in Calgary. The evening will feature a dinner hour solo set by Suzanne, followed by video screening, full band performance with Ron Lukiv (guitar), Peter Höhn (drums) and Michelle Baker (backing vocals). Evening will end with a jam/open stage for others to share their music.
The single released across digital platforms on Wednesday June 21n celebration of summer Solstice, Fête de la Musique (World make music day), and to honour National Indigenous Peoples day on whose land we live, work, play, and create.
