Natasha Jaffe is a Berlin-based, queer, classically trained cellist, session musician and composer who, through her collaboration with Indie musicians in Berlin, broke away from her classical roots to create a blend that is uniquely hers; celebrating the sound of the cello with cello ensemble compositions.
Her newest album “Cello in Reflection” reflects her many influences, from Brasilian and Canadian folk to Yiddish music and everything in between, all coming together to show how music transforms as it travels. She is joined by three Calgary-based cellists to create a cello quartet: her mother, Johanne Perron, Sofia Fakeley and Olena Kilchyk.
