Welcome to Asylum for Art’s Bossa Nova guitar workshop.

The music of Brazil and in particular the Bossa Nova has a colourful history. Evolving from Portuguese, African, Italian and German cultures, this style has an intricate, evocative and unique rhythmic structure and the harmonies are in part jazz voicings, but also are reminiscent of harmonies from the culture that makes Brazil such a colourful and unique culture.

Come and get an introduction to this exotic style of guitar playing from someone who learned it from it’s roots.
