Experience feelings of Camaraderie as Eileen Kosasih and Claire Butler present a program of lesser-known salon gems for violin and piano. The night will be filled with shorter pieces intentionally written for friends to enjoy hearing or playing together in an intimate setting.
Claire Butler is a professional pianist, director and educator. She studied piano and violin at Royal College of Music, London. After working at the Bermuda School of Music she moved to Canada and now calls Calgary home. She has enjoyed working with Calgary Girls Choir, Calgary Boys Choir, Silver Stars Musical Revue Society and continues to enjoy freelancing as a performing musician. She operates a full teaching studio, is artistic director of Shine Music Camps, music specialist at Montessori School of Calgary and pianist in Clicquot Trio.
Eileen Kosasih is a freelance musician, visual artist, and presenter of especially inspired and inspiring content. She is a M. A. Fine and Decorative Arts and Design candidate (Sotheby’s Institute of Art NYC 2022) and holds a pre-collegiate piano diploma, B. A. Music, and M. Music. Eileen is principle 2nd violin of the Symphony of the Kootenays and concertmaster of the St. David’s United Church Orchestra. She ran and conducted Calgary Arts Orchestra for one season. Accompaniment residencies have included Calgary Multicultural Choir, Suzuki Talent Education Society, UUphonia, and Calgary Girls Choir.
